Nature-based & Eco-Therapy

Outdoor Therapy

Nature-based psychotherapy provides the opportunity, expressed beautifully by Eckhart Tolle, to experience the strong and profound presence that is found in the natural world, to help awaken that same presence within ourselves.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Myriad studies have shown that nature-based therapy can strengthen interpersonal relationship skills, reduce stress, increase one’s ability to focus, improve impulse control, decrease impulsivity, and increase self-confidence and resilience.

Nature-based therapy has been proven to be an effective therapeutic modality for children, adolescents, and adults. As the name implies, in walk and talk therapy, clients talk with therapist while walking outdoors rather than sitting in a therapy office or being in an online Zoom session.

Walking side by side and being in nature together enables some clients to feel more comfortable with the therapy process. It also opens opportunities for mindfulness and exploration in the natural environment. In most cases, outdoor therapy requires an initial intake session conducted in office or via online therapy.
