Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer a number of services for adults, adolescents, children, and families, both online and in-person:

Do you accept insurance?

Perspectives is an out of network provider. As such, we do not directly bill or accept insurance. We are happy to provide you a receipt for services (a “super bill”) that you can submit for to your health insurance provider for out of network reimbursement, per your coverage. If you plan to submit your bill to insurance, we suggest that you call your insurance company before starting therapy to make sure you understand their policy. Questions to ask include:

  • Does my plan include out of network mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible?

  • Do I need preauthorization to be reimbursed? If so, how to get obtain preauthorization?

  • What portion of my therapy costs will be covered after meeting the deductible?

  • Does reimbursement depend on my diagnosis? If so, what diagnoses are covered?

How much does therapy cost? What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the credentials and level of experience of the clinician as well as the service requested. Our psychotherapists charge between $85-$275 for a 50-minute session, depending on licensure, experience, type of therapy, etc. The lower end of that scale is for graduate-level counselors-in-training / interns. The average rate is $175 per 50-minute session. Each clinician’s standard rate is specified on their profile page.

How long are sessions? How often do I see my therapist?

Psychotherapy sessions are typically 50-minutes and we recommend weekly sessions, especially during the early stages. You may decide to change the frequency of sessions (biweekly, monthly, etc.) in collaboration with your therapist.

Do you offer sliding scale or reduced rates?

Each of our therapists have a limited number of sliding scale therapy spots available with reduced rates. Ask our intake coordinator about sliding scale availability if you need a lower rate. The lowest rate available for sliding scale spots is $50.

If finances are an issue or an obstacle to obtaining the therapy you or your family need, please consider applying for reduced rates through our partner, The Powerful Project or check out the low cost therapy providers listed on the Resources page.

Where are you located?

Our therapy offices are in Tucker and Roswell, Georgia. Telehealth services can be provided to clients in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida (depending on the clinician’s licensure).

What forms of payment are accepted?

Clients can pay using a major credit card, cash, or check payable to: Perspectives Center for Holistic Therapy. Payment is expected at the time of service. HSA or FSA payments are accepted as long as they are associated with a major credit card company (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx).

Are online / telehealth / teletherapy sessions available?

Yes. Telehealth has been shown to be an effective means of psychotherapy and education. We use HIPAA-compliant Zoom for secure sessions. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have about online video sessions. In-person sessions may be recommended for specific cases or types of treatment.

Are in-person sessions available?

Yes, in-person sessions are available at our Tucker and Roswell office locations. Some clinicians also hold “walk and talk” sessions or meet clients outdoors at local parks. Specific availability varies depending on the clinician. During your initial consultation, let us know your preferences and we can match you with a therapist that meets your needs.

What is your approach to therapy?

Our clinicians foster growth and healing by addressing the synergistic relationship between all the ways we experience ourselves and the world—thinking, feeling, doing, and sensing. Perspectives serves as a psychotherapy and skills development center and a training institute for new clinicians.

Holistic psychotherapists work in partnership with the client using integrative treatment methods that support the healthy interaction between the processes of the mind, body, and spirit to bring growth and healing. You can read more about the specialties and approaches of our clinicians on our Holistic Therapist Team page.
