Therapeutic Approach
One of the greatest offerings of counseling is the opportunity to change. Sarah (she/her) invites you to celebrate your decision to invest in yourself, and thanks you for the opportunity to walk alongside you in your journey. Sarah works from a holistic, human-centered approach and believes each person's experience is unique and valuable. Music, art, and mindfulness are incorporated into Sarah’s practice, providing clients several avenues to reflect, express, and heal.
Sarah works with adults, adolescents, and children, utilizing modalities from her experience and training both as a psychotherapist and music therapist. Sarah believes that therapy can be a space for any person to be seen fully and to find healing. Sarah hopes to help her clients heal from trauma while also equipping them with new perspectives and skills to live in a healthy, fulfilling way. Sarah is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
Sarah is a licensed music therapist and has provided music therapy to children, teens, and their families in mental health settings and pediatric hospitals. Sarah’s background in healthcare contributes to her therapeutic work with complex trauma, medical complexities, grief/loss, and high-acuity mental health needs. Sarah published a clinical practice project piloting music therapy for mental health in a medical facility in Music Therapy Perspectives in 2022.
Sarah is trained in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and works with clients receiving ketamine treatment to integrate their experiences and create lasting change in their lives. If you are interested in our ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program, please reach out to Sarah for more information.
